One part about being a Christian family that is so special is being able to simultaneously rejoice with those who rejoice and mourn with those who mourn.

Today is a hard day for some people. Maybe you lost your mom or don’t have one. Maybe you don’t have a good relationship with the one you do have. Maybe you weren’t able to be a biological mama (though I’m sure you are an outstanding mother figure to so many). Maybe you lost a child or have a rocky relationship with the children you do have. Maybe you have a great relationship with your mother/child but there is distance between you.

We, as your family, mourn with you. We love you and support you. You are not alone.

And we thank you for also allowing us the privilege to simultaneously rejoice with those who rejoice.

We are so happy for today. All the mothers and mother figures deserve our love and respect. We are more thankful than we can say. We rejoice! And we do so while holding the hands of those of you who find today difficult.

Happy Mothers day! – Jesse
